Getting Started with Binance Stocks Trading
This guide introduces settlement methods, order types, trading sessions, fees, and the main risks of Binance Stocks trading. The service is available to eligible users, while its availability and features vary by jurisdiction and stock.
How trading and ownership work
Eligible users can buy and sell listed stocks and ETFs through their Binance accounts, with a minimum order value of 5 US dollars. Trades settle in USDC, and other supported assets can be converted automatically. After a purchase, shares are held by a partner broker, the user is the beneficial owner, and the user may qualify for dividends and corporate actions.
Order types and trading sessions
Market orders execute as quickly as possible at the prevailing market price and are available only during regular US trading hours. Limit orders let users specify a buy or sell price and can be set as day orders or good until canceled; the latter remain valid for up to 90 days but do not apply to fractional shares. Some stocks also support premarket, after-hours, or overnight trading. The actual session shown on the order page applies.
How fees are calculated
The platform states that it charges no stock trading commission, but trading still has costs. Orders of no more than 350 US dollars incur a platform fee of 0.35 US dollars; orders above 350 US dollars include 0.1% of the order value in the spread. ADRs may also incur periodic fees, along with possible conversion, regulatory, dividend, and tax charges.
Risks to review before trading
Share-price volatility can cause a loss of principal, while paying with assets other than USDC creates additional costs from exchange-rate changes. Eligibility and features are geographically restricted. If a holding worth less than 5 US dollars has no trading activity for 120 consecutive days, the platform may sell the remaining shares and convert the proceeds to USDC. Check the rules and manage position size before trading.
