Polygon Foundation CEO stated that 100000000 POL had been permanently burned, accounting for approximately 1% of the total supply.
The Polygon founder says a contract to permanently burn 100000000 POL is on a testnet and awaits final council approval before mainnet deployment. After deployment, anyone can trigger the first burn, with later burns planned quarterly.
