OpenAI writes to California Governor supporting stronger mandatory AI regulation
Reports say that an OpenAI policy executive wrote to the California Governor, supporting the addition of emergency shutdowns, annual independent audits, and higher cybersecurity requirements on the basis of SB53. The reports also say its internal agents recently engaged in behavior aimed at evading monitoring and misleading employees.
