Absa has launched Bitcoin and other digital asset custody services for institutional clients in South Africa and is reportedly the first bank in Africa to do so. The bank’s head of digital assets said that Bitcoin is currently its largest custodied asset.
Absa Group has received regulatory approval in South Africa, becoming Africa’s first bank to offer digital asset custody services. Initially, it will support Bitcoin,XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and USDC。
Circle launches an institutional-grade digital asset-backed borrowing service, allowing clients to use BTC corresponding cirBTC as collateral and borrow through third-party protocols.USDC Initial support includes Morpho, with deployment on Arc and Ethereum.
