Citing Lookonchain, BlockBeats said that a user purchased a Ledger device from CryptoBillis and, approximately 3 weeks later, the deposited 7000000 USDT was fully transferred out approximately 10 hours ago. Whether the device was tampered with and the cause of the attack have not been confirmed.

CZ Reminded Ledger users to beware of counterfeit or tampered devices and said the incident currently appears to involve only one distributor. Ledger had previously investigated reports of user funds being stolen in Southeast Asia.
