France's proposed stablecoin transaction tax was withdrawn at the committee stage and still awaits reintroduction in plenary session
The French parliament's relevant tax proposal was withdrawn. It would tax crypto asset conversions into stablecoins and the departure of holders of substantial assets, and must still be reintroduced in plenary session; it has not yet become law.
