South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province Suspends Stablecoin Introduction Research Project; Completion May Be Delayed
South Korea’s Gyeonggi Province has suspended research on introducing a stablecoin, saying it needs to await policy developments including the Digital Asset Basic Act. The project has not been canceled, but its originally scheduled completion in 2027 February may be delayed.
