BEP-95An BNB improvement proposal for Chain to introduce a real-time burn mechanism for block fuel fees BNB.
Bull marketA state in which market prices show a positive upward trend.
CapitulationRefers to a situation in which many market participants simultaneously abandon their positions and sell, typically associated with panic selling.
Decentralized Exchange (DEX)An exchange that does not require users to deposit funds in advance and does not hold users’ funds on their behalf.
Delta NeutralA strategy that combines positions in different directions so that the overall portfolio value is less affected by small price movements in the underlying asset.
Disposition effectThe tendency of investors to hold underperforming assets while waiting for them to recover, yet sell assets that have already risen relatively quickly.
EIPAn Ethereum Improvement Proposal is a standardized proposal used by the community to describe, discuss, and advance Ethereum upgrades or new features.
EIP-1559An improvement proposal that adjusts Ethereum’s transaction fee mechanism and introduces a partial fee-burning arrangement.
EIP-20ERC-20 Later formally established as an Ethereum Improvement Proposal, whose number 20 is the identifier of the proposal.
EIP-7702A proposal aimed at optimizing Ethereum externally owned account (EOA) functionality and adding new capabilities to wallets.
ERCAn Ethereum Request for Comments proposal, primarily used to establish common standards at the application layer for tokens and other applications.
Ethereum Request for CommentERC the full name, representing the formal designation for Ethereum Request for Comment proposals and discussions.
HODL(HODL)Crypto-market slang meaning to continue holding a position and avoid selling.
HoneypotIn the crypto asset sector, a scam that lures users into depositing funds or purchasing tokens while preventing them from selling or withdrawing them.
Leveraged TokensA cryptocurrency derivative that algorithmically adjusts leverage, allowing traders to gain leveraged long or short exposure to a specific cryptocurrency in a relatively simplified manner.
Liquid Restaking Token (LRT)Represents a transferable token corresponding to a restaked position, allowing holders to continue using their asset value while earning restaking-related rewards.
PoSAProof of Staked Authority is BSC’s consensus mechanism; validators participate in block validation by staking BNB and earn transaction fees.
Proof of Stake (PoS)A consensus mechanism that rewards block validation based on the amount of tokens staked by validators.
RSA Key pairAn encryption mechanism composed of a public key and a private key, which can be used to protect communications, encrypt data, and create or verify digital signatures.
Stop-loss ordersOrders that automatically close a position when the price falls below a preset threshold, limiting losses from further declines.
Token honeypotsA trap that allows users to buy tokens but uses a malicious smart contract to prevent ordinary users from selling them or impose heavy penalties on them.
U-Margined ContractsU-margined contracts are a contract type supported by this derivatives skill. Related interfaces can be used to query market data, trade, and manage positions.
ValidatorA Validator is a participant that verifies whether transactions and blocks are valid in accordance with blockchain network rules; in PoS, it usually refers to the formal role that assumes responsibility for proposing or confirming blocks through staking.
Weak subjectivityNew nodes or nodes that have been offline for an extended period in a PoS network need to rely on information from other nodes to determine the currently active chain.
bStocksSecurity tokens provided by the issuer and backed by corresponding U.S. stocks held by regulated custodians on a 1:1 basis, providing exposure to their price and related economic benefits.
bull trapRefers to a situation in which investors expect the trend to turn upward and establish long positions, but the actual reversal does not occur.
deltaA measure of how much the value of a position changes in response to changes in the price of the underlying asset.
ePBSThe protocol incorporates an enshrined proposer-builder separation (ePBS) mechanism, bringing the responsibilities for selecting consensus blocks and assembling execution payloads, as well as the handoff process, into the core protocol.
index fundsFunds that aim to replicate the performance of a specific index as closely as possible, giving investors indirect exposure to the portfolio of assets represented by that index.
liquidationThe process by which a leveraged position is forcibly closed due to insufficient margin requirements or other reasons.
proof of stake (PoS)A consensus method that does not rely on hash mining, and therefore does not require competition over ASIC mining capacity.
proof-of-stake (PoS)A mechanism that typically combines randomness and stake size to select validators to propose or attest to blocks, without relying on computational power competition.
resistanceA level or area where resistance may be encountered during a price increase, often used together with support to analyze price positioning.
slashingA penalty arrangement in proof of stake that imposes economic losses for dishonest behavior.
stakingParticipants deposit the network’s native token as collateral to qualify as PoS validators, creating an economic incentive to perform their duties honestly.
supportA price level or zone at which support may be found during a decline, often used together with resistance to analyze price positioning.
volatility dragAnother term for volatility drag, referring to the drag that volatility imposes on cumulative returns through the compounding effect.
vulnerability assessmentScan the system to identify as many technical weaknesses as possible.
Falling wedgeComposed of two downward-sloping trendlines that gradually converge, it is generally considered a potentially bullish chart pattern.
Post hoc rationalizationReconstructing an explanation after an event based on the known outcome, making an originally unexpected event appear foreseeable.
