XRPL Payment engine vulnerability lasting more than a decade fixed, preventing XRP excess issuance
RippleX engineering lead says that a XRPL critical vulnerability in the payment engine that had existed for more than a decade has been fixed; the vulnerability could have caused XRP excess issuance, but network protection was completed before it was exploited.
