Former Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy sentenced for assisting cryptocurrency merchant with extortion 21 months
According to reports, former Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy Eric Saavedra was sentenced to 21 months in prison and ordered to pay restitution for using a law enforcement database to assist a cryptocurrency merchant in carrying out an extortion scheme.
