CoinDCX stated that the recently circulated wallet transactions involve old addresses that were compromised in 2025 July and have not been used by the platform since then; user funds are safe and operations are normal.
PANews reported that ZachXBT said CoinDCX had previously denied asset theft, only later disclosing an approximately 16000000 USD theft, and advised users who value asset security to withdraw their funds.
According to a report citing an X post by Darcy, co-founder of security firm Salus, the Indian exchange CoinDCX was suspected to have approximately 16000000 USDT stolen, with the funds flowing to Binance,OKX and Gate.
