ADRAmerican depositary receipt, potentially subject to a periodic fee per share, typically charged once or twice annually.
AlphaThe earliest runnable stage in the software release lifecycle, used for internal testing, identifying major issues, and collecting feedback for improvement.
BEP-95An BNB improvement proposal for Chain to introduce a real-time burn mechanism for block fuel fees BNB.
BNBBNB is BNB Chain's native cryptocurrency and utility token, used for fees, staking, and interaction with on-chain applications.
EIP-1559An improvement proposal that adjusts Ethereum’s transaction fee mechanism and introduces a partial fee-burning arrangement.
GasA unit used by certain networks to measure computational resources consumed during execution; the actual transaction fee also depends on factors such as the gas price.
Gas feeThe on-chain transaction fee paid by the user in BNB is used to compensate validators for processing and confirming the transaction.
Open (public) betaA software testing approach open to all interested users, enabling broad collection of feedback.
Platform tokensAssets used to support blockchain network operations, pay transaction fees, and execute smart contracts.
PoSAProof of Staked Authority is BSC’s consensus mechanism; validators participate in block validation by staking BNB and earn transaction fees.
Replace-by-Fee (RBF)A method supported by some networks that allows the sender to resubmit the original transaction with a higher fee.
SnapshotThe process of recording the state of a blockchain ledger at a specific point in time; its contents may include addresses and their transactions, fees, balances, and metadata.
UTXO Dustof extremely low value, for which the required miner fee may exceed its own value UTXO。
Wallet honeypotsWallet honeypots refer to scammers publicly displaying wallet credentials that appear to hold assets, enticing others to add fees or attempt transfers, while using control mechanisms to trap or siphon off funds.
beta testersExternal testers who are not part of the development team or company, responsible for identifying bugs and providing feedback from a real-world user perspective.
break-even point (BEP)The original acquisition cost of the asset paid by the trader or investor, including transaction fees.
closed alphaAn Alpha test accessible only to invited users, suitable for obtaining more focused feedback from a specific target group.
Coinbase transactionThe first special transaction in a Bitcoin block, used to claim the block subsidy and transaction fees permitted by the rules; it does not use ordinary unspent outputs as inputs.
layer-2A scaling solution built on top of the underlying blockchain, designed to reduce mainnet congestion, lower fees, and accelerate interactions.
veAERONon-transferable governance tokens obtained after users lock AERO and used to vote on the allocation of issuance rewards and share fees from related liquidity pools.
Transaction FeeThe fee required to submit and execute operations on a blockchain; frequent small-value operations place particular importance on its level and predictability.
Priority feeA tip that users may voluntarily pay to validators to increase the likelihood that their transactions will be processed with priority.
Block RewardThe cryptocurrency reward miners receive for successfully validating a new block, broadly consisting of the block subsidy and transaction fees.
Taker feeThe fee typically charged when a market order consumes existing liquidity in the order book.
Base feeThe transaction fee dynamically adjusted by the Ethereum protocol based on network usage and permanently burned after payment.
MiningThe process in which participants in a proof-of-work network organize transactions and search for a block hash that meets the target, earning subsidies and transaction fees from valid blocks.
Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA)Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA) is a consensus mechanism that combines the characteristics of Proof of Stake and Proof of Authority, emphasizing relatively fast finality and lower fees.
Liquidity provider(LP) tokenTokens received by users after contributing funds to a liquidity pool, representing their share of the pool and corresponding entitlement to fees.
Gas feesExecute EVM The transaction fee required for the transaction, the amount of which may vary depending on contract complexity and network activity.
System Rewards ContractReceives one-sixteenth of block fuel fees, with a balance cap of 100 BNB, and uses the funds to subsidize cross-chain transaction packaging.
Funding rateA fee paid periodically between long and short positions to help keep the price of a perpetual contract close to the price of the underlying asset.
Funding FeeIn the perpetual contract market, a fee that long and short position holders periodically pay to each other based on the funding rate.
Pyramid schemeA scam in which participants primarily profit by recruiting newcomers, with fees flowing upward through multiple levels and the scheme ultimately becoming unsustainable.
Burn rateA proportional variable used to calculate the amount of fuel fees to be burned; the initial value stated in the proposal is 10%, and it can be adjusted through a governance vote.
Validator set approximatelyReceive the remaining gas fees and be responsible for distributing them daily to delegators and validators BNB, and include logic for processing gas fees according to the burn rate.
