Data availabilityThe function responsible for storing transaction data and making it available to network participants.
Data Availability Sampling (DAS)A method in which nodes randomly verify a small number of data blocks to probabilistically determine whether the entire dataset is available.
Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH)holds that current asset prices already reflect all available information, so exploitable pricing inefficiencies in the market are very limited.
Probabilistic verificationA verification method that infers that the remaining data, and potentially the entire dataset, is likely available based on whether the sampled data blocks are accessible.
LiquidityThe quantity of assets available for execution around a given market price; when liquidity is insufficient, large orders are more likely to move the execution price.
SlippageThe phenomenon in which the actual execution price deviates from the expected price due to market changes or insufficient available liquidity.
