API KeyA credential that allows a program to access an account’s API; its executable scope is determined by permissions such as reading, trading, transferring, or withdrawing.
Application Programming Interface (API)A set of rules that allows two software applications to communicate with each other and share data.
Layer 2A secondary protocol or framework built on an existing blockchain to offload transaction processing, increase speed, and reduce costs.
PlasmaA blockchain scaling framework that uses layered child chains to handle large volumes of processing tasks and reduce the load on the main chain.
SolidityA programming language for writing smart contracts on Ethereum.
Virtual MachineA program that simulates a complete computer system, including a Virtual Machine CPU, memory, and storage.
benchmarkingRunning a set of tests or programs under controlled conditions and comparing the relative performance of hardware or software against established benchmarks.
bounty programA crypto project’s bounty program that rewards community contributions; tasks may include promotion, content creation, translation, or vulnerability reporting.
bug bounty programsA program that invites external researchers to discover and report security issues.
side chainsA smaller blockchain in the Plasma framework used to offload processing from the main chain, with the evidence describing it as Ethereum a smaller replica of the side chains blockchain.
smart contractsin Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) program executed.
stock-to-flow modelA framework for analyzing scarcity by comparing existing stock with newly added supply, but it cannot reliably predict future prices.
TokenomicsA framework for studying token supply, issuance, distribution, utility, and governance rules, as well as how these factors shape supply and demand within an ecosystem.
Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)The computational core of the Ethereum ecosystem, it is a Turing-complete programmable machine responsible for decoding bytecode and executing smart contracts.
Decentralized IssuanceA method that sets a predetermined supply, rewards, and issuance conditions, allowing anyone to participate progressively in token issuance according to the parameters.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML)a framework comprising legal and regulatory procedures designed to minimize and curb illicit or suspicious flows of funds.
Binance Square SkillsA tool that enables compatible AI agents to programmatically publish content on Binance Square through dedicated interfaces.
AdwareSoftware that monetizes by displaying large amounts of advertising, often bundled with other programs and potentially increasing the risk of system intrusion.
Application chainA blockchain designed specifically for a single application or a particular function, with parameters and resource configurations that can be customized to meet its requirements.
MalwareSoftware programs or code created to deliberately infiltrate, damage, or gain unauthorized access to computer systems and networks.
Smart contractA program that executes according to network rules and may contain vulnerabilities, upgrade privileges, and external dependencies.
Smart contract walletA cryptocurrency wallet that uses programmable smart contracts to set transaction rules, execute operations automatically, and configure security measures.
TrojanA deceptive program disguised as useful software to trick users into installing it, after which it may deploy other malware or steal data.
Asymptotic analysisA mathematical method for comparing algorithm performance as input size increases, reducing the impact of differences in programming languages and hardware.
EtchingThe process of creating a new Rune and recording parameters such as its name, supply, and divisibility.
WormA program that can self-replicate and spread across systems without attaching to files or requiring human intervention, while potentially consuming substantial resources.
Pyramid schemeA scam in which participants primarily profit by recruiting newcomers, with fees flowing upward through multiple levels and the scheme ultimately becoming unsustainable.
KeyloggerA program that records and transmits keyboard input, often used to steal sensitive information such as account credentials, passwords, and financial data.
DifficultyThe amount of work required to mine a block; it is a parameter that adjusts with changes in the network's hash rate.
Vanity Address GenerationUse a program to generate wallet addresses in batches until finding an address whose beginning and ending characters match those of the target address.
