HODLA strategy of buying assets and holding them long term while avoiding frequent trading.
Buy and holdA passive investment strategy in which assets are purchased with the intention of holding them for the long term, without placing undue emphasis on short-term market fluctuations.
Block-level Access List (BAL)A mapping that records which accounts transactions within a block will access or modify, along with the results, used to identify transactions that can be executed in parallel and accelerate synchronization.
Rollover CostCosts that may arise when switching to a new contract after a futures contract expires; over the long term, they may erode the returns of products employing futures strategies.
Yield curveThe relationship between the yields of bonds with different maturities; its long end primarily reflects the yield levels of long-term bonds.
Futures PremiumA condition in which the price of longer-dated futures is higher than that of near-month futures, potentially resulting in losses when a fund rolls its positions forward.
Volatility DecayThe phenomenon whereby leveraged or inverse ETFs, due to daily rebalancing and compounding effects, may see their long-term returns gradually deviate from their intended multiple in volatile markets.
DepegA situation in which a stablecoin can no longer maintain its target peg price, potentially causing losses to holders.
Monitoring TagA label used by Binance to identify tokens with relatively higher volatility and risk that may face delisting if they no longer meet listing standards.
Funding rateA fee paid periodically between long and short positions to help keep the price of a perpetual contract close to the price of the underlying asset.
Funding feeIn the perpetual contract market, holders of long and short positions periodically pay fees to each other based on the funding rate.
Trend TradingAlso known as position trading, it typically involves holding positions for months or longer and attempting to profit from sustained upward or downward trends in assets.
Long-Term HoldingBuying an asset and holding it for an extended period, typically with greater focus on the project's intrinsic value and long-term prospects.
Golden CrossA bullish chart pattern in which a short-term moving average crosses above a long-term moving average.
