51% AttackA situation in which malicious actors gain control of most of the network's hash power, potentially threatening blockchain operations.
51% attackAlso known as a majority attack, this refers to an attack in which the attacker controls more than half of the blockchain network’s hashing power and may disrupt consensus, transaction confirmation, or carry out double-spending.
ADRAmerican depositary receipt, potentially subject to a periodic fee per share, typically charged once or twice annually.
AI Agentthat can understand information, reason, and autonomously call tools and perform actions after obtaining the requisite permissions AI system.
AI Agent SkillFor AI tool interfaces that enable Agent to invoke specific platform data or operational capabilities; each Skill corresponds to different functions and permission requirements.
Agentic WalletA component in Binance Wallet’s Agentic Hub that enables agents to interact with tokens and decentralized finance protocols.
AirdropA method of distributing digital assets free of charge to members of the public who meet conditions such as holding assets or demonstrating address activity.
AlgorithmA series of unambiguous instructions used to solve a particular problem.
Algorithmic tradingA method of executing trades using automated software that follows predefined instructions; the software can access the trading platform API to monitor conditions and submit or cancel orders.
All or None Order (AON)An order that requires the entire order quantity to be filled at the specified price in a single transaction; otherwise, it will not be executed.
All or Nothing (AON)The order must be filled in its entirety, but is not subject to an immediate execution time limit; it may remain open until fully filled or canceled.
AlphaThe earliest runnable stage in the software release lifecycle, used for internal testing, identifying major issues, and collecting feedback for improvement.

BEP-1155A multi-token standard for BNB Smart Chain that can manage fungible tokens and NFT in a single smart contract.
BEP-675Used to adjust the way blocks are constructed to accommodate more transactions without shortening block times or increasing gas costs.
BEP-682Used to reject duplicate validator counting in cross-chain signature verification, ensuring that the signature threshold is met by a sufficient number of genuine validators.
BEP-695Used to tighten permission and restriction rules in consensus key rotation, penalty inheritance, and signature governance voting.
BGP hijackingThe technique whereby an attacker advertises a false route, redirecting network traffic to infrastructure under their control.
BNBBNB is BNB Chain's native cryptocurrency and utility token, used for fees, staking, and interaction with on-chain applications.
BNB ChainA decentralized blockchain ecosystem for the Web3 economy, infrastructure, and services.
BNB Chain Pasteur hard forkBNB A network rules upgrade on Smart Chain focused on enhancing cross-chain and validator governance security and increasing block transaction capacity.
BNB Smart Chain(BSC)and BNB a blockchain launched in parallel with the Beacon Chain, serving as EVM a compatibility layer supporting smart contracts, DApps, and DeFi services.
BUIDLRefers to the practical spirit of developers and builders who continue investing in the blockchain industry and focus on developing innovative applications.
Beta (Release)A testing phase in software development that follows alpha, in which the main functionality is operational but performance, usability, and security still require evaluation.
BlockComputer files that store transaction data and link to other blocks in sequence.
Block TradeLarge orders privately negotiated outside the public order book, with the aim of reducing slippage and market impact.
BlockchainA decentralized digital ledger that records cryptocurrency transaction information in chronological order.

Burner walletA cryptocurrency wallet used for small, temporary on-chain interactions, primarily to isolate potential risks from the main wallet and most assets.
C2CA peer-to-peer trading model in which buyers and sellers can directly select their counterparties, set prices, and arrange transactions without relying on a centralized platform for order matching.
CentralizedRefers to the structural characteristic whereby control, authority, and decision-making are concentrated in a single center or a small group.
Chain AbstractionA design approach that simplifies cross-chain interactions, so agents and users do not need to handle the technical differences between multiple blockchains.
Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index (VIX)Using the S&P 500 constituents' option prices, estimating the expected market volatility over the next 30-day expected market volatility index.
