AI DeepfakeUse AI synthesized or imitated voices and images of others to impersonate trusted individuals and make fraudulent requests more credible.
API KeyA credential that allows a program to access an account’s API; its executable scope is determined by permissions such as reading, trading, transferring, or withdrawing.
ARC-20A fungible token created using the Atomicals protocol to represent ownership of assets on the Bitcoin network.
Atomicals ProtocolAn open-source system for creating UTXO static or dynamic digital objects on blockchains that adopt the model.
BEP-675Used to adjust the way blocks are constructed to accommodate more transactions without shortening block times or increasing gas costs.
BEP-721Defines the standard for BNB creating and using non-fungible tokens (NFT) on Chain.
BNB Chain Pasteur hard forkBNB A network rules upgrade on Smart Chain focused on enhancing cross-chain and validator governance security and increasing block transaction capacity.
BSDOne of the permissive licenses listed in the text, allowing the work to be copied, modified, and distributed provided that the original developer is credited.
DAppDecentralized applications, which developers can BNB create on Chain-related networks.
DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service)A resource-exhaustion attack that can consume network or system resources; virtual machine isolation can increase the cost of an attack but cannot completely prevent this type of attack.
ERC-1155An Ethereum token standard that allows a single smart contract to create and manage multiple fungible and non-fungible tokens simultaneously.
FOMOFOMO, or the fear of missing out, refers to chasing price increases, trading frequently, or taking risks beyond one's capacity to bear out of concern about missing opportunities.
Fan TokensBlockchain-based digital assets created by sports teams, clubs, or brands to enhance fan engagement and provide specific benefits.
Gas limitThe maximum amount of computational work that a single block can accommodate. Increasing it can increase block capacity, but also raises validation and resource requirements.
Layer 2A secondary protocol or framework built on an existing blockchain to offload transaction processing, increase speed, and reduce costs.
MITA permissive license cited in the text that permits a work to be copied, modified, and distributed provided that the original developer is credited.
Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAP)A protocol that uses blockchain to create digital badges and record attendance at specific events; it also refers to the badges themselves.
Proof-of-Work (PoW)A mechanism in which miners contribute computing power to compete for the right to create new blocks, while full nodes validate the network rules.
RSA Key pairAn encryption mechanism composed of a public key and a private key, which can be used to protect communications, encrypt data, and create or verify digital signatures.
SRC-20 tokenA token standard that uses Bitcoin Stamps technology to inscribe data onto Bitcoin and create fungible assets.
SRC-721Standards that reduce file sizes and lower detailed NFT creation costs through methods such as layered image storage and indexed color palettes.
Secret Recovery PhraseAn ordered set of words used to restore a self-custodied wallet and its derived accounts.
Store of ValueAn asset that can be saved and exchanged in the future, while seeking to preserve or increase its value.
Wallet honeypotsWallet honeypots refer to scammers publicly displaying wallet credentials that appear to hold assets, enticing others to add fees or attempt transfers, while using control mechanisms to trap or siphon off funds.
YubiKeyA hardware authentication device that can serve as the second credential for two-factor authentication, with verification completed by inserting the device or NFC connecting it.
bounty programA crypto project’s bounty program that rewards community contributions; tasks may include promotion, content creation, translation, or vulnerability reporting.
closed-source softwareSoftware whose source code is not publicly available and that typically only its creator is authorized to modify or distribute.
cryptographic keyA secret value used to control the encryption or decryption process.
inflationRefers to an increase in the overall price level, causing the same amount of currency to purchase fewer goods or services over time.
leverageUsing borrowed funds to increase trading volume amplifies losses and may increase the risk of forced liquidation during periods of severe market volatility.
maximum supplyThe maximum number of tokens that a cryptocurrency can ultimately create, including the current supply and the portion that has not yet been generated in the future.
network effectThe phenomenon whereby a product becomes more useful to users as the number of users increases.
opBNBopBNB is built on BSC and uses optimistic rollup technology as a Layer 2 scaling network to increase throughput and reduce costs.
permissive licensesA type of permissive license that allows works to be widely copied, modified, and distributed, typically requiring primarily that the original author be credited.
probabilistic finalityThis refers to transaction confidence gradually increasing as subsequent confirmations accumulate, without constituting an absolute guarantee.
proof of workA blockchain mechanism that deters improper behavior by increasing the cost of attacks.
resistanceA level or area where resistance may be encountered during a price increase, often used together with support to analyze price positioning.
resistance levelAn area that may hinder further price increases like a “ceiling”; a support level after being broken may sometimes turn into one.
scarcityIt means that asset supply is constrained and difficult to increase quickly, thereby reducing the likelihood of rapid dilution.
sell wallA large concentration of sell orders at the same price that may slow a price increase.
sell wallsConcentrated, relatively large sell orders create selling pressure that may prevent the price from rising further.
stakingParticipants deposit the network’s native token as collateral to qualify as PoS validators, creating an economic incentive to perform their duties honestly.
symmetric key cryptographyA cryptographic method that uses the same secret key to encrypt and decrypt information.
tokenomicsA set of mechanisms and rules describing how tokens are created, allocated, and managed.
Transaction-level parallelizationProcessing multiple transactions simultaneously to increase network throughput and shorten transaction confirmation times.
Token Generation Event (TGE)The process by which a blockchain project creates and distributes its native token, which can be used to raise funds, build an early user base, or launch products and services.
Priority feeA tip that users may voluntarily pay to validators to increase the likelihood that their transactions will be processed with priority.
Candidate BlockA temporary block created by a miner after aggregating unconfirmed transactions, awaiting network validation or being discarded.
Bond yieldThe level of return associated with holding a bond; rising yields typically increase the attractiveness of bonds relative to risk assets.
Wash tradingA manipulative practice in which the same party buys and sells the same financial instrument to create the appearance of false market activity or trading volume.
