Beta (Release)A testing phase in software development that follows alpha, in which the main functionality is operational but performance, usability, and security still require evaluation.
Chain AbstractionA design approach that simplifies cross-chain interactions, so agents and users do not need to handle the technical differences between multiple blockchains.
Closed (private) betaA software testing method made available only to a small group of invited users. A closed (private) beta.ง
Delay attacksAttackers intercept and slow the propagation of blocks or transactions without completely severing communication between nodes.
Fill Or Kill Order (FOK)The order must be filled in full immediately at the specified price or a better price; otherwise, the entire order is canceled, and partial fills are not allowed.
LatencyThe time delay between an input being received and the system producing the corresponding output.
Messaging protocolsTransmitting data and instructions between different blockchains, enabling an application on one chain to trigger operations on another chain.
Open (public) betaA software testing approach open to all interested users, enabling broad collection of feedback.
Volatility DecayRefers to leveraged tokens and leverage ETF The erosion of returns in volatile or range-bound markets caused by the combined effects of daily rebalancing and compounding, also known as beta slippage or volatility drag.
Wrapped Beacon ETH (WBETH)A liquid staking token representing staked ETH and its associated reward value.
beta releaseA release for further testing with a broader group of external users after major issues in the Alpha phase have been addressed.
beta slippageAnother term for Volatility Decay, describing the deviation and loss in returns caused by daily leverage resets and compounding in volatile markets.

payment channelsA common subtype of State Channel, primarily used for repeated transfers of value between participants.
release candidateA Beta version that is close to its final form and awaiting confirmation as to whether any major issues or errors remain.
Relay cross-chain bridgeA cross-chain bridge that forwards information between different blockchains and typically relies on a specialized network to provide shared security.
Mid-market rateThe midpoint between the bid price and the ask price, commonly found in currency converters or financial market data pages.
Bid-ask spreadThe difference between the highest price a buyer is willing to pay and the lowest price a seller is willing to accept.
Trading PairA combination representing the exchange relationship between two assets, in which one asset is denominated in terms of the other.
SpreadThe difference between the service provider’s cost of acquiring the currency and the selling price offered to users.
Blockchain bridgeA protocol that connects two blockchains and supports the interaction of assets or messages between them.
BodyThe thicker rectangular part of a candlestick, representing the price range between the opening and closing prices during that period.
Laspeyres indexAn index that uses base-period quantities as fixed weights to compare the change in the cost of the same basket between the base period and the current period.
Index InvestingTracking the combined performance of a portfolio or token composed of multiple crypto assets, rather than betting on a single asset.
Payment channelAn off-chain transaction channel established between participants; transaction results are settled on the main blockchain only when the channel is closed.
Yield curveThe relationship between the yields of bonds with different maturities; its long end primarily reflects the yield level of long-term bonds.
Futures Premium and Spot PremiumA term used to describe the relationship between commodity futures prices and their expected future spot prices; it can serve as a reference for trading, hedging, and arbitrage.

Attention mechanismThe attention mechanism is a key component of the Transformer, enabling the model to focus on relevant parts of the input text and capture relationships between words.
Premium IndexAn indicator reflecting the difference between a contract price and the spot price of the corresponding asset; one of the main factors in calculating the funding rate.
Slippage ToleranceThe maximum deviation between the actual execution price and the expected price that a trader is willing to accept.
Peer-to-PeerA method of direct communication between network participants used to support decentralized design.
Hot walletA wallet kept connected to the internet for convenience, better suited to everyday scenarios such as frequent transactions.

End-to-end encryption (E2EE)A method of protecting data while it is transmitted between two parties, although the recipient typically needs to decrypt it before processing it.
Federated cross-chain bridgeA cross-chain bridge in which asset transfers between different blockchains are approved by a group of trusted entities.
