ASIC Mining machineUses application-specific integrated circuits and is designed for Bitcoin SHA-256 algorithm for high-efficiency mining.
Ad HocDerived from Latin, meaning “for this” or “specifically for a particular matter.” It generally refers to an approach designed for a specific issue and not necessarily intended to serve as the default solution in the future.
Application Programming Interface (API)A set of rules that allows two software applications to communicate with each other and share data.
Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC)An integrated circuit designed specifically for a single task or a narrow set of tasks.
B-TokenBinance’s official name for a series of fully collateralized wrapped tokens, each B-Token representing a transferable version of the original asset on other compatible blockchains.
BEP-20BNB A token standard on Smart Chain that enables bStocks to be transferred and used in compatible wallets and on-chain applications.
BNBBNB is BNB Chain's native cryptocurrency and utility token, used for fees, staking, and interaction with on-chain applications.
BNB Smart Chain(BSC)and BNB a blockchain launched in parallel with the Beacon Chain, serving as EVM a compatibility layer supporting smart contracts, DApps, and DeFi services.
BUIDLRefers to the practical spirit of developers and builders who continue investing in the blockchain industry and focus on developing innovative applications.
CSSPWA One of the commonly used web technologies, used together with HTML and JavaScript to implement web applications.
Chain AbstractionA design approach that simplifies cross-chain interactions, so agents and users do not need to handle the technical differences between multiple blockchains.
DAOAbbreviation for decentralized autonomous organization, listed in the text as an application scenario for multisignature wallets.
DAppDecentralized applications, which developers can BNB create on Chain-related networks.
DAppsAn application that runs on a peer-to-peer computer network rather than relying on a central database.
DeFiA decentralized financial system that conducts activities such as lending and swapping through blockchain protocols.
DeFi tokensAssets related to decentralized finance applications, which can be used on lending platforms, decentralized exchanges, or yield protocols.
ERCAn Ethereum Request for Comments proposal, primarily used to establish common standards at the application layer for tokens and other applications.
ERC-20A widely used token standard on the Ethereum network that defines implementation rules for token contracts and supports integration with ecosystem applications.
EVMEthereum Virtual Machine; networks compatible with it can run Ethereum-style smart contract applications.
Ether (ETH)The native asset of the Ethereum network, appearing earlier than ERC-20, and therefore not natively compliant with this standard.
Graph ExplorerA tool that helps developers retrieve, discover, and publish the public data needed to build decentralized applications.
HTMLPWA One of the commonly used web technologies, together with CSS and JavaScript, is used to build applications.
IP WhitelistIP A whitelist restricts API the access sources of the key to pre-approved IP addresses to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
IP Access RestrictionsPass IP Address Whitelist Restrictions API Access sources; only approved IP addresses can access the relevant account services.
JavaScriptPWA One of the commonly used web technologies, it helps web applications provide more functionality and richer runtime capabilities.
Maximum SupplyThe maximum hard-capped quantity of a cryptocurrency that can ultimately exist under its rules.
Messaging protocolsTransmitting data and instructions between different blockchains, enabling an application on one chain to trigger operations on another chain.
NGMIAn abbreviation of “Not Gonna Make It,” meaning “will not succeed.” It is used to express pessimism, doubt, or disappointment, and may also carry a humorous or sarcastic meaning.
Native appsApplications that need to be downloaded and installed locally on the device, enabling closer integration with the device hardware and native system functionality.
Open (public) betaA software testing approach open to all interested users, enabling broad collection of feedback.
Progressive Web Application (PWA)A web application built using modern web technologies and following basic web standards, while providing an experience similar to a native app.
Security AuditA systematic review of an application, system, or database to assess its robustness and security.
TaprootAn upgrade that expands the data capacity of Bitcoin blocks and lays the foundation for Ordinals and BRC-20 applications.
VMAn abbreviation for Virtual Machine, referring to a virtual computer capable of running an operating system, files, and applications.
Wallet honeypotsWallet honeypots refer to scammers publicly displaying wallet credentials that appear to hold assets, enticing others to add fees or attempt transfers, while using control mechanisms to trap or siphon off funds.
Wrapped Beacon ETH (WBETH)A liquid staking token representing staked ETH and its associated reward value.
Wrapped Ether (WETH)A token representing at a: ratio ETH of ERC-20 token, for compatibility with applications and tokens requiring ERC-20 format.
application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs)A chip specifically designed for a particular mining algorithm.
dapp (decentralized application)An application typically built on a public blockchain, often using a connected digital wallet for login and interaction.
halvingRefers to Bitcoin’s mechanism of reducing the new-block issuance reward approximately every 4 year, thereby reducing the rate at which new coins enter circulation.
off-the-main-chainA scaling approach that moves most processing off the main chain and redistributes it across a series of smaller functional chains.
single-slot finalityRefers to the research goal of achieving single-slot finality for Ethereum within an approximately -second slot.
web appsApplications accessed through a web browser, typically requiring no local installation, and hosted and centrally updated by online servers.
Post hoc rationalizationReconstructing an explanation after an event based on the known outcome, making an originally unexpected event appear foreseeable.
Token approvalAllow the application to access tokens within the authorized scope or NFT operations.
Wash tradingA manipulative practice in which the same party buys and sells the same financial instrument to create the appearance of false market activity or trading volume.
Wrapped tokenA mapped token issued on the target chain in an equivalent amount after the original-chain asset is locked or withdrawn.
