YZi Labs The inaugural Atlas Scout program launches, partnering with students from four leading U.S. universities to discover early-stage startups
BlockBeats reports,October 23, according to an official announcement,YZi Labs announced the launch of the inaugural Atlas Scout program, recruiting students from Stanford University, Yale University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of California, Los Angeles, to participate in Web3 and early-stage investment projects in artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology. The program aims to give outstanding university students early exposure to venture capital, involving them in project sourcing, preliminary research, due diligence, and investment decisions, while encouraging them to organize startup communities on campus and explore investment opportunities.YZi Labs will provide up to 1000000 USD in indicative investment commitments for investment opportunities related to the program and open access to its ecosystem of more than 300 portfolio companies.YZi Labs stated that many promising entrepreneurs begin exploring in laboratories, open-source projects, campus entrepreneurship organizations, and technology communities before entering traditional financing channels, while peers who study and work alongside them often identify their potential earlier. The Atlas Scout program aims to leverage students’ own campus networks to help these early-stage entrepreneurs gain access to capital, mentorship, and industry resources. Eligible startup teams may also have the opportunity to connect with YZi Labs’s EASY Residency program or further discuss investment partnerships with it.
The Atlas Scout program not only expands financing and resource channels for early-stage entrepreneurs, but also enables participating students to build venture capital experience through real projects and improve their abilities in project evaluation, founder communication, and investment judgment.YZi Labs stated that Scouts may independently organize campus activities based on their own interests, such as hosting technical discussions, bringing together startup teams, or discovering potential investment projects, while receiving guidance from YZi Labs and support from its ecosystem resources. The program seeks to establish connections when startup projects have not yet attracted widespread attention, giving preliminary ideas on campus an opportunity to develop into actual projects while cultivating a new generation of investors who can identify technology trends and entrepreneurial potential earlier.
