Interfaze connects models such as Qwen and Whisper into a single AI toolbox
Beating AI news brief,AI startup Interfaze has open-sourced a multi-model system interfaze-1-lite. It connects OCR, speech recognition, image segmentation, classification, forecasting, and other capabilities through the same interface.
Among them,Qwen3.8-27B serves as the orchestration core, responsible for understanding user requests and then calling different specialized models to perform the work. For example, document recognition uses Chandra OCR and Paddle OCR, speech-to-text uses Whisper, image segmentation uses SAM 2.1, and time-series forecasting is handled by TimesFM.
When developers deploy it locally, they still need to download the weights of these models. What Interfaze eliminates is the work of assembling this system themselves. It has already handled model orchestration, data conversion, and unified output, exposing only a single interface to upper-layer applications.OCR and other tasks also include confidence scores and text positions, making it easier for downstream programs to determine whether manual review is needed.
Interfaze calls this design Mixture of Architectures. The entire system can run on a single 80GB H100.
