【Trump: Those Who Do Not Use the Term “Superintelligence” Will Be Considered Enemies of the White House】

Phoenix Technology, citing a report by Business Insider, reported that U.S. President Trump said Thursday that anyone who does not use his preferred term “Superintelligence (SI” will be considered an enemy of the White House. Trump wrote on his social media platform that the White House considers anyone who uses the term “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” instead of what he calls the more accurate new term “Superintelligence” to be an enemy. The report said that the White House has begun renaming Artificial Intelligence, and Trump said that Artificial Intelligence implies that the technology is fake. The report said that at the end of this year,September Trump signed an executive order after meeting industry leaders at the White House, requiring federal departments and agencies, to the maximum extent permitted by law, to replace “Artificial Intelligence” and “SI” with “Superintelligence” and “AI” in official letters, public communications, websites, and other official communications. The order does not apply to private companies such as OpenAI; the White House has no legal authority to enforce it. The report also said that SpaceX CEO Elon Musk posted on X that he would rename the Artificial Intelligence division SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI. The division was originally called xAI. This year,February SpaceX announced the acquisition of xAI, the developer of Grok, and July was renamed SpaceXAI; as of Thursday afternoon, its X account still displayed SpaceXAI。OpenAI CEO Sam Altman denied plans to rename it in an interview with the Politico podcast, saying that the company has been discussing superintelligence extensively and will continue to do so.
