【VanEck: Bitcoin Is in the Early Stages of a Bull Market, with a Long-Term Target Benchmarking Gold's Market Capitalization】

Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Assets Research at investment management firm VanEck, stated that Bitcoin is currently in the early stages of a bull market and has performed strongly. VanEck views Bitcoin reaching half of gold's market capitalization (corresponding to a price of approximately 500000 USD) as a medium-term target, and believes that in the long term, if Bitcoin can capture a significant share of global energy trade, its price could reach 2050 by 3000000 USD. Sigel noted that the correlation between Bitcoin and gold has reached a multi-year high, while continued inflows from institutional investors through spot ETF and other channels have supported the market. In addition, because Bitcoin mining companies possess power resources that are scarce in the AI economy, the value of their mining equipment and energy contracts has increased significantly, creating new opportunities for investors. Regarding the quantum computing risk attracting market attention, Sigel stated that although it is an issue that needs to be addressed, the community has begun taking it seriously and responding actively; this does not constitute a reason to sell Bitcoin.
