Baidu to disclose progress in world model R&D, potentially first for autonomous driving

PANews October 28 reported that, according to the STAR Market Daily, Baidu plans to disclose its progress and results in world model R&D in the coming days. World models primarily model and predict physical environments. If used for autonomous driving, the model could improve prediction and decision-making capabilities in complex scenarios, supporting the large-scale deployment of autonomous vehicles. Baidu’s Apollo Go has already covered cities worldwide and accumulated a considerable volume of real-world road data. Baidu has also invested in embodied intelligence and has provided services to the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, AgiBot, Galbot, Unitree, and other 28 companies. The model’s specific uses and its relationship with Apollo Go remain unclear, and Baidu declined to comment. 50🔗https://www.panewslab.com/zh/articles/01a181ce-c9ee-7291-acd7-a9b381c4ddc2
