Goldman Sachs:HBF may overcome AI the “memory wall,” with a potential market size of up to 150000000000 USD

PANews October 13 news, Goldman Sachs published a research report stating that, as AI inference demand grows rapidly, insufficient storage capacity is becoming a key bottleneck constraining computing efficiency. High-bandwidth flash memory (HBF) and other emerging NAND technologies may help alleviate this “memory wall” problem and significantly reduce AI infrastructure costs. The firm expects that, if GPU adoption reaches 15%to 50%the HBF potential market size could reach 40000000000 to 150000000000 USD. Goldman Sachs is optimistic about SanDisk and SK SK hynix’s HBF technological leadership, maintaining “Buy” ratings on both companies; Samsung Electronics may also benefit. By contrast, Micron, whose business focus is more oriented toward DRAM and HBM, is expected to benefit less directly, and its “Neutral” rating is maintained.
