BlockBeats reported that CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr wrote that the average cost basis of those holding for less than October 26, CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr wrote that the current average cost basis of those holding for less than 6 months of BTC is approximately 76000 USD, with the current price approximately 5.9%.
Over the past 1 weeks, this group’s unrealized profit margin narrowed from 8.7%to 5.9%, while over the same period, the BTC price fell by approximately 1000 USD, and its average holding cost rose by approximately 1100 USD. Data shows that the average cost basis of those holding for less than 6 months of BTC is approximately 6 months of BTC’s average cost basis, at 1.56 times, respectively, namely 76000 USD and 48600 USD. This ratio rose from 1.54 to 1.56, mainly driven by the increase in short-term holders’ average cost basis, while long-term holders’ average cost basis remained largely unchanged.
Axel Adler Jr pointed out that if BTC falls below 76000 USD, the portion of 6 purchased over the past BTC months will collectively become unrealized-loss-making. The last time this occurred was in mid-August this year. It should be noted that the average cost basis does not mean that all recent buyers are in profit; some investors who bought at higher prices may still be facing losses.
