Context.dev consolidates all scraping APIs into one: web pages, PDFs, and Office files handled in a single step
Beating AI news flash: YC S26 startup Context.dev has launched Scrape Anything, consolidating its previously separate web-scraping APIs into a single interface. Developers need only provide a web page or online file URL and select the desired format to obtain Markdown, HTML, screenshots, page images, the original file, or structured fields in one request.
In addition to ordinary web pages, it currently supports approximately 40 file formats, including PDF, DOCX, PPT, and XLSX. JavaScript rendering, proxy switching, anti-scraping handling, and retries are handled by Context.dev, so developers do not need to maintain browser and proxy infrastructure themselves. These capabilities already existed; this update primarily unifies different inputs and outputs under the same /v1/web/scrape interface.
A standard scrape consumes 1 credit, and requests for multiple output formats still share the same base charge; browser interactions cost 2 credits, while PDF OCR is billed separately based on the number of restored pages.
