Analyst: Market index shows crypto trading activity has not recovered significantly, while Bitcoin remains in a compressed range awaiting direction

BlockBeats news,October 14, crypto market analyst Axel Adler Jr posted on social media that Bitcoin’s recent price volatility has been limited, while the volatility and capital flow index reflecting market activity remains below the average level of the past 1 years, indicating that trading activity has not recovered significantly. The index combines price volatility, the exchange inflow/outflow ratio, and the aggressive buy/sell ratio; its 30-day moving average September 12 fell below the 1-year moving average in October 6 and reached a low. The index currently stands at 1768 points, below the 1828 points of the 1-year average.

The analyst said that, given the large fluctuations in daily readings, the 30-day moving average is more informative. As long as the indicator remains below the 1-year moving average, the market remains in a low-activity state, consistent with Bitcoin’s recent narrow-range trading. If the index rises back above the 1-year moving average, it could indicate that trading activity is beginning to recover; whether the price can break through the Bollinger Bands will confirm the subsequent direction.October 6 to 13, the Bollinger Band width narrowed from 11.6%of the average price to 4.9%; Bitcoin fell from 85,800 USD to 83,200 USD over the same period, with little change in recent days. The current range has an upper bound at 86,000 USD, and a lower bound of approximately 81,900 USD. The analyst believes that if the price holds above 86,000 USD, it will send an upward signal; if it breaks below and remains under 81,900 USD, it could confirm a downward trend.
