Former Devin core developer raises funding 60000000 USD:AI Modify the workflow yourself, and simulate trial and error first

Dongcha Beating AI news flash: enterprise AI startup Hone officially launches Engines and completes 60000000 USD seed funding led by Benchmark and Index Ventures. Engines can take long-term responsibility for business goals set by enterprises, such as increasing sales conversion rates and reducing procurement costs.

After an enterprise sets a goal, the Engine learns about internal systems, historical data, and workflows, independently creates the necessary Agent and tools, and then collaborates with employees to complete the work. It also continuously adjusts based on feedback, without requiring people to repeatedly issue tasks.

An Engine can modify its own tools, code, and memory, but changes must first pass simulation tests before going live. The system simulates changes in colleagues' responses and business systems, compressing weeks of work into minutes for reruns and checking whether it has broken functionality that was previously working normally. Hone says that among 125 internal test scenarios, the proportion of changes that caused problems fell from 33%to 5%.

Hone founder Moritz Stephan previously participated in developing Devin's core planning and execution systems. Cognition and AI reasoning platform Modal have become early customers.
