Runway Let the Agent generate video while it works: a code repository becomes a town, and file operations can also be seen
Dongcha Beating AI breaking news,Runway’s experimental team Runway Labs demonstrated Visual Thinking, which can turn AI Agent’s work process into video in real time.
When the Agent searches the web, calls tools, or reads or modifies files, the video model synchronously generates visuals based on these operations. Users do not need to review execution logs line by line; they can directly see what the Agent is doing.
For example, when asked to explain a monorepo(a code repository shared by multiple projects), the system depicts the codebase as a town. Different packages are transported to various applications like goods, while documentation becomes a park by the river. When the Agent accesses or modifies folders, the visuals change accordingly.
In another demonstration, the Agent simulates Wi-Fi signal propagation on a floor plan, identifies coverage dead zones, and presents adjustment plans. Even web searches and tool calls when selecting gifts can be turned into dynamic visuals.
Visual Thinking is not an independent product; it is a feature of Runway’s Continuum operating-system research project. Continuum first appeared in October 1; this time, the team mainly demonstrated more application scenarios.
It is currently still at the research-demo stage and is not yet available for public trial.
