AI-assisted interpretation
The following is analysis, separate from reported facts. Verify important claims independently.
The switch is purportedly capable of directly cutting power to the camera and microphone, rather than merely disabling them in software.
Why it matters to readers
If the feature operates as described, users may gain more intuitive privacy control over the camera and microphone.
Physical power disconnection means that the device hardware is not powered, and applications or malware generally cannot restore power through software alone.
Risks and unknowns
The effects of circuit-level power disconnection and prevention of remote reactivation are claims made by Ledger; the article provides no details of independent verification.
The article does not specify the Founders Edition price, reservation quantity, or actual shipping time.
