CCTV will broadcast tonight at 18 o'clock the first episode of the -part documentary series “The Demise of Telecom Fraud in Northern Myanmar”
PANews October 5 reported, citing CCTV News, that the -part documentary series “The Demise of Telecom Fraud in Northern Myanmar” will be broadcast at October 5 to 7 every evening at 18 o'clock on CCTV-, with a repeat at 21: 30 on CCTV News. Co-produced by the Ministry of Public Security and China Media Group, the documentary records the process by which public security authorities, together with relevant departments, dismantled criminal groups including the “Four Families” in northern Myanmar. The first episode, “Sword Drawn,” exposes the telecom-fraud ecosystem in northern Myanmar; the second, “Uprooting the Stronghold,” focuses on the pursuit of fugitives across borders; and the third, “Building a Global Net,” discloses the China-Myanmar joint operation in Muse and the China-Myanmar-Thailand operation to clear scam compounds in Myawaddy, and introduces the international alliance against telecom and online fraud initiated by China, with participation from 46 countries.
