World Model Odyssey-3 physics evaluation 66.1 score surpasses FLUX 3, with a free trial now available
Beating AI news reports that world model company Odyssey has officially launched Odyssey-3, with a free trial of the Flash version now available. It can generate explorable worlds from text in real time. As users walk or turn the camera, the visuals change accordingly. The team also demonstrated experiments using the same model for robotic arms, humanoid robots, cars, and game characters.Odyssey-3 first learns object motion and the consequences of actions from internet videos, game-operation recordings, and physics simulations. When used for robots or cars, the pretrained base model parameters remain unchanged. The team only needs to additionally train small control modules to translate the model's learned knowledge into operational commands. Different machines still require individual adaptation, but the entire model does not need to be retrained.
Odyssey used only 20 hours of simulated driving data to train a dedicated control module, enabling a car to drive on real roads in India. In testing, the distance driven between safety-driver interventions under the simulated-data training approach was approximately 77%.
A humanoid robot developed in collaboration with Flexion, after training on dozens of hours of teleoperation demonstration data, can continue performing tasks under changing lighting conditions. In game experiments, the control module learned from approximately 2 hours of gameplay recordings of 《GTA V》. It could then make a character ride a horse in 《Red Dead Redemption 2》 without additional training.
In the Physics-IQ Verified physics video prediction test,Odyssey-3 Pro scored 66.1, surpassing FLUX 3[large]'s 64.35, with both being best-of-8 results. Odyssey also released WorldMark evaluation results, with the model ranking first in of categories of interactive scenarios.
