Serenity: Nebius rises against the trend; the purest Neocloud play with the best asymmetry

According to BlockBeats, on September 24, Serenity said that while the AI infrastructure and Neocloud sectors were broadly declining, Nebius (NBIS) rose approximately 6% against the trend, an exceptionally strong relative performance. Oracle issued a force majeure notice because Project Jupiter, its large data-center project in New Mexico, may fail to open by 2028, attempting to shift back the risk of rising costs. This illustrates how full-stack delivery and large-project execution risks are weighing on the sector, while NBIS has relatively avoided such issues.

Serenity further noted that even if its core business continues to grow rapidly after 2027, the market may still underestimate the growth potential of Nebius's various businesses. Nebius is the “purest Neocloud play with the best asymmetry,” without the full-stack execution uncertainty of IREN or ORCL, the high-interest debt pressure of CRWV or APLD, or the instability of major-customer contracts faced by some mining companies transitioning to cloud services.
