NEAR Co-founder shares ecosystem development directions:AI AI and privacy applications become priorities

According to BlockBeats,October 3,NEAR Co-founder Illia (root.near) stated that over the past few weeks, a large number of both new and existing developers have been building in the NEAR ecosystem, while development tools and processes have also become simpler. Developers currently need to focus on “what products to build and how to acquire user distribution.”

Illia listed several potential application directions. These include a NEAR AI's AI Tamagotchi, which uses on-chain prompts for verifiable inference; each character exists in the form of an NFT and is paired with NEAR to pay inference costs, while incorporating gameplay mechanics such as feeding, dressing up, and competition; as well as universal payment components that allow any merchant or application to integrate a “checkout” button, enabling users to pay with any wallet and on-chain assets, with plans to promote their adoption in commercial settings such as Shopify.

In addition, Illia proposed a AI encyclopedia combined with prediction markets, a private NEAR Intents market based on OTC, a “Never get liquidated” tool that automatically manages lending and perpetual contract positions to reduce liquidation risk, and an application for on-chain event registration and fund escrow.

Regarding privacy and enterprise applications, Illia mentioned using NEAR AI to build private code-review tools, enterprise equity and financing management systems, private medical AI second-opinion services, private meeting-record tools, and a AI model evaluation platform based on private test sets.

For trading and financial use cases, Illia also proposed using NEAR Intents to build Delta Neutral strategy tools, as well as products supporting private trading and social copy trading, allowing users to sell viewing permissions for others to track trading performance.

For ecosystem promotion, Illia stated that developers can obtain support through NEAR Legion and ensure their applications are compatible with Aurora Intent Connect, enabling users across different chains and wallets to participate without bridging; they should also expand their reach through community partnerships, product-distribution channels such as Product Hunt, and X.
