Tencent launches Buddy One: a AI cross-app research tool, with accounts and credits now interconnected

Beating AI Brief,October 29, Tencent officially launched Buddy One, integrating WorkBuddy, Tencent Docs, Tencent Meeting, Tencent Cloud Drive, and ima into the same AI office ecosystem.

After linking their accounts, users can directly ask WorkBuddy to find materials across applications and consolidate information, without repeatedly authorizing access or copying and pasting. For example, they can have it use Tencent Meeting minutes, previous proposals in Tencent Docs, and the ima knowledge base to create a new plan with cited sources.

Tencent has also unified its credit system. WorkBuddy credits can be used across Tencent Docs, ima, and Tencent Cloud Drive, but credits previously purchased separately in each application will not be merged.

Buddy One VIP official website is currently priced at 700 yuan/month, including 50000 universal credits per month, 1TB of storage shared across products, as well as benefits including WorkBuddy Flagship Edition, Tencent Meeting Professional Edition, and Tencent Docs Super Membership Plus.

Tencent Cloud Drive, released at the same time, provides unified storage. However, the current implementation primarily covers account linking, cross-app search, and credit sharing; true cross-app memory sharing has not yet launched. WorkBuddy PC client can be upgraded to 5.9.0 or later to use the service. Account linking is free, but unlinking is not yet supported.
