Meta Integrates Muse into AI Glasses: See Something, and Have the Agent Handle It Directly

Beating AI news flash: Meta announced that it is integrating its personal AI Agent Muse into its AI glasses. Users will be able to call Muse directly through the glasses and hand tasks over to it. Muse will continue executing tasks in the background and return to tell users the results when finished, without requiring them to keep taking out their phones.

Its capabilities already go beyond simply answering questions. For example, users can ask Muse to guide them through personalized training, record a meal and analyze its nutrition, or book services and check airfares. When users see a product they want to buy, they can also ask Muse to purchase it; while driving or cooking, they can ask it to search online for the parts they need.

Meta's glasses had previously integrated Muse Spark, which was mainly responsible for understanding what users see, answering questions, and providing suggestions. This time, the integrated product is the full Muse Agent. It can connect to services such as calendars and shopping, turning a voice instruction given through the glasses into an ongoing background task.

Meta is also significantly expanding its AI glasses lineup. By the end of the year, Ray-Ban, Oakley, and Meta Glasses will collectively offer more than 100 styles. The newly launched Ray-Ban Meta Audio even removes the camera entirely, retaining only audio and AI, with up to 12 hours of battery life per charge. The glasses are becoming Meta's all-day gateway prepared for Muse.
