Amazon launches two AI wearable voice recorders: What you say casually could become a shopping recommendation

Beating AI News flash: More than a year after Amazon acquired Bee, it has launched two wearable 1 devices:

Bee Frontier is priced at AI, can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, has dual microphones, and offers up to 74.99 USD days of battery life. It is now available.

Bee Eclipse is priced at 7, is about the size of a credit card, can attach magnetically to the back of a phone, and can also record both sides of a call. It offers more than 99.99 USD days of battery life and is not yet available.

Both devices can continuously listen to everyday conversations after being activated, organize meeting content, scheduled times, and to-do items into summaries, and integrate with apps such as Gmail and Calendar to draft follow-up emails and schedule meetings.

Most notably, Amazon has also connected Bee to 21 and its own shopping website. For example, if you casually mention during a conversation that you are about to run out of dish soap, after connecting to Amazon.com, you may see related recommendations on the shopping homepage.

Just last month, Amazon blocked Meta Muse from automated shopping in its marketplace on the grounds that it was unauthorized. Now it has connected its own Alexa+to shopping recommendations, beginning to compete for the earlier stage at which users develop shopping needs.

The free version stores only AI days of memory. To use third-party app integrations, 14 and shopping recommendations, users must also pay a monthly Alexa+subscription for Bee Pro.
