Citadel strategist: Funds will flow back after the U.S. midterm elections AI Stock trading

BlockBeats reported,October 21, Scott Rubner, Head of Equity and Derivatives Strategy at Citadel Securities, said that after the U.S. midterm elections, investors are expected to re-enter positions in AI related stocks, potentially enabling this investment theme, which has recently faced selling pressure, to outperform the broader market again next month. Institutional clients are currently inclined to wait for political uncertainty to subside, while retail investors continue to actively buy the dip.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television during the Citadel Securities Global Market Future Forum in New York on Tuesday, Rubner said investors generally view the midterm elections as an important event for clarifying risks, and that after the election may be the time for AI stocks to regain leadership.

He said the message from clients was: “They are willing to buy at higher prices, but do not want to enter now ahead of a major political event.” This reflects that some capital would rather wait for the situation to become clearer than rush to position for the recent pullback.
