“Saint Liang” rises onto the Shenzhen skyline,DeepSeek and the Big Fat Fish has arrived as well
Beating AI Newsflash: This year's National Day light show at Shenzhen Talent Park put DeepSeek founder Liang Wenfeng and the “Blue Big Fat Fish” onto skyscrapers in Houhai. Multiple on-site videos show the building lights successively displaying a portrait of Liang Wenfeng and a blue whale image, interspersed with footage of embodied-intelligence robots.
The “Blue Big Fat Fish” is not DeepSeek's official mascot, but rather an anthropomorphic image created this year by the Chinese AI community for DeepSeek. It originated from DeepSeek's blue whale logo and was later depicted as a whale girl who loves eating plain rice and slacking off. It quickly spread across communities such as Bilibili, Tieba, and Linux DO, while “Saint Liang” and the “Big Fat Fish” gradually became an established set of DeepSeek community memes.
