Bitcoin briefly fell below 82300 USD, while tensions involving Iran pushed oil prices above 102 USD, putting pressure on market risk appetite

BlockBeats news,October 8, Bitcoin briefly fell below 82300 USD, and has since rebounded to near the 82500 USD level, with a 24-hour decline of 1.94%, breaking below a key recent support level 83000 USD. FxPro previously stated that if BTC decisively breaks below 83000 USD, sellers may regain control of the market, and the price could decline rapidly toward 80000 USD.

This decline coincided with heightened macroeconomic risks. Reports said that the White House had asked the Pentagon to formulate military strike plans targeting Iran, pushing Brent crude oil up approximately 2%, back above 102 USD per barrel; the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose to 5.31%, nearing its highest level since 2002, further weighing on risk assets.

Major crypto assets broadly weakened, with XRP falling nearly 4%to 1.42 USD,DOGE falling approximately 3%,ETH falling approximately 3%to 2570 USD,HYPE and SOL both falling more than 2%. The previous day, approximately 550000000 USD in leveraged crypto positions was liquidated, the majority of which were bullish positions.

Bitcoin's two most recent consecutive down trading days were both accompanied by rising oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields. If Brent crude falls below 100 USD again, it may ease some of the current pressure on risk assets.
