“Minting” means generating tokens on the blockchain. The original report said that the USDC Treasury address generated tokens on the Solana blockchain 250000000 tokens USDC, but did not state whether these USDC were subsequently transferred or used.
This is a large-scale USDC on-chain minting record; based solely on the available text, its subsequent flow or actual impact cannot be determined.
Beginners should distinguish between “tokens having been minted” and “tokens having entered circulation or the market”; the current evidence only explicitly mentions minting.
