Tencent Music Entertainment is internally testing MusicBuddy: change a track with one sentence and release it directly
Beating AI news flash: According to an exclusive report by Dujia, Tencent Music Entertainment is internally testing the AI music creation tool MusicBuddy. It puts AI conversations directly into a multitrack arrangement workspace. Users can use natural language to change lyrics, switch instruments, and adjust volume and reverb without manually operating complex music production software.
MusicBuddy also provides creative suggestions based on musicians’ existing works, fan preferences, and trending topics, and supports selecting different generative models, vocals, and reference music. Once a song is complete, it can enter the release process directly, and the tool can also generate music videos and promotional posters.
Tencent Music Entertainment previously launched the Qinyun and Qinle music foundation models and introduced capabilities including AI song creation, singing voices, and vocal tuning. MusicBuddy further connects these capabilities in a single workspace for creation, editing, and release. Overseas, Suno Studio 2.0 is following a similar path, already supporting multitrack editing, MIDI, and direct project modification through chat commands.
