BlockBeats news,October 8, according to the Sui Foundation announcement,Sui native Bitcoin financial infrastructure Hashi will launch its mainnet this month through a phased rollout. Currently,Hashi has secured over 500000000 USD in capital commitments, with more than 20 crypto-industry institutions participating in its launch alliance. Anchorage Digital will also join as an early partner.
Hashi aims to bring native BTC into programmable financial markets on Sui. In Hashi,BTC remains on the Bitcoin network. After users deposit BTC,Hashi mints the corresponding Sui on hBTC. Users can use hBTC to participate in on-chain financial applications, including lending and borrowing, credit, yield vaults, and structured products. Upon exit,hBTC is burned, and the corresponding native BTC is released back to the Bitcoin network.
Sui stated that more than 500000000 USD in capital commitments are currently available to provide initial liquidity for Bitcoin financial markets on Hashi. The related funds will enter lending, borrowing, credit, and other Hashi-supported markets through BTC vault providers such as Aftermath, Concrete, and Fluid.
Regarding institutional participation, Anchorage Digital will connect to Hashi through two channels. Its Atlas settlement and tri-party collateral infrastructure will provide access for institutions meeting qualified custody, compliance, and operational requirements; meanwhile, Anchorage Digital's institutional self-custody wallet, Porto, will also support institutions' direct use of Hashi. In addition, Anchorage Digital plans to provide stablecoin liquidity to Hashi.
Hashi use cases include obtaining stablecoin liquidity using BTC as collateral,BTC lending and borrowing,BTC-supported credit products, automated vaults, structured products, real-world assets, and Bitcoin-backed bonds. Institutions including BitGo, Bullish, Cumberland, FalconX, and Ledger have also participated in building the Hashi ecosystem.
On security,Hashi uses MPC、Sui smart contracts and Guardian Layer to establish multi-layered protections.BTC collateral uses a 2/2 multisignature mechanism, jointly authorized by Hashi validators and Guardians. Its smart contracts have undergone formal verification by Certora, while CommonPrefix completed a cryptographic security audit of the MPC protocol.Sui stated that Hashi mainnet will gradually expand access by the end of this month. As partners complete integrations, native BTC will begin to be used in live environments as programmable collateral in the Sui ecosystem.
